I LOVE YOU MORE
Something for the country fans.
FOLLOW YOU
With a subtitle of "Peter's Song", this is inspired by Jesus' first apostle, who -- much like us -- made mistakes in his walk. The guitar riff at the beginning is my attempt to evoke a Middle Eastern vibe.
THEN I FOUND
A fun blues tune, since I live in one of the homes of the blues. My mom especially liked this one.
A FOOL FOR YOU
My original intention was for this to be a very slow piano-style  torch song, but when I went to record it I came up with an entirely different feel based upon the opening keyboard progression.
AS  FAR AS I CAN
A borrowed LinnDrum triggered the groove behind this synth pop tune. Real drums and bongos supplement.
INSANE
When I first moved to Memphis, I stayed at a boarding house on Central Avenue for a spell. Across the hall from me was a tenant everyone referred to as "Crazy Barbara". She would dance alone in her room in the middle of the night and once threatened to kill me. I didn't stay there long! But she did inspire this song, written after wondering what kind of guy would go for a girl who's off her rocker.
PUT ME IN MY PLACE
This was my first "vertical" song, written after attending a Ray Boltz concert.
THIRD TIME LUCKY
A :60 TV theme song for a Dick Clark-produced sitcom that, unfortunately,  never saw the light of day.
