"THANKFUL"

A while back I was commissioned by a greeting card company to write and perform 60-second jingles for a number of holidays and special occasions.  

I thought I'd share here the very first one I did, a musical thank-you card.

For this one I wanted to capture the spirit of Andrew Gold's "Thank You for Being a Friend" (fans of The Golden Girls will also know it as the TV theme).

I chose a similar chord structure and moved things around, then came up with an original melody and lyrics. Recording-wise, the instruments used are basically the same as on the hit song. Thank you for listening!
